(F. Ebb and J. Kander)For those who fancy coloring booksAs certain people doHere’s a new one for youA most unusual coloring bookThe kind you never seeCrayons ready, very wellBegin to color meThese are the eyes that watched himAs he walked awayColor them grayThis is the heart that thoughtHe would always be trueColor it blueThese are the arms that held himAnd touched him then lost him somehowColor them empty nowThese are the beads I woreUntil she came betweenColor them greenThis is the room I sleep inWalk in and weep inHide in that nobody seesColor it lonely, pleaseThis is the manThe one I depended uponColor him gone.

The singles from the album were “If I Thought You’d Ever Change Your Mind” (#11 in the UK) and “When You Walk in the Room” (UK #34), though many critics nominated “Sometimes When I’m Dreaming” as the stand out track, reminiscent of the quality of ABBA recordings, and issued in Sweden as a promo-only single. The album itself reached #12 in the UK, her highest charting album there until May 2013, when she reached #6 with her album “A”.[1]

My Colouring Book is the fourth English language and her overall eleventh studio album released by Swedish singer-songwriter Agnetha Fältskog. It was her first album release for 17 years and was well received by ABBA fans, as well as the general music press, with renditions of songs which she had listened to during her teen years in the 1960s.

It was announced that around 500,000 copies of the album were sold worldwide.[2] During 2004, the album went silver in the UK for sales of over 60,000,[3] while in Fältskog’s home country of Sweden, during its first week of release, a high 64,000 copies were sold. My Colouring Book also reached #6 in Germany in May 2004.

Arranged and conducted by Robert Mersey, the song was released as Barbra Streisand’s second single release in November 1962, as a double single with “Lover, Come Back To Me”.[1]
